Bayern new boy in desperate need of a Winter Refresh

We could be seeing the Winter Refresh on FIFA 21 Ultimate Team this week, and this could mean Winter Upgrades too.

As part of the Winter Refresh promo, EA release some new basic cards with improved ratings for those that deserve it.

Check out five Bundesliga players we think deserve new ratings as part of the Winter Upgrades.

Erling Haaland (OVR 84 – 87)

Does Erling Haaland ever miss? The Borussia Dortmund forward is still scoring a goal per game this season and is one of the game’s most lethal strikers.

Haaland is still only 20 years old too, so he is sure to be one of FIFA’s top players in the future.

Already an 86 OVR on FIFA 21’s updated squads, an 87 OVR for the big Norwegian is not out of the question.

Alphonso Davies (OVR 81 – 84)

Already one of the fastest players on the game, it is about time Alphonso Davies becomes one of the best left backs too.

Despite Bayern’s dominance over the past year and a half, Davies is still rated just 81 OVR.

Whether we see a new 84 card remains to be seen, but it would surely be deserved for the Canadian youngster.

Dayot Upamecano (OVR 79 – 82)

It has been confirmed that RB Leipzig centre back Dayot Upamecano will be joining Bayern Munich in the summer.

Upamecano is one of the highest-regarded defenders in the world right now, and £40 million looks like great business from the current European champions.

The French CB will surely see an increase to his current 79 OVR, and that could be in the Winter Refresh.

Upamecano could be joined by fellow French defender Jules Kounde in receiving an upgrade this winter.

Andre Silva (OVR 79 – 82)

While Andre Silva may not catch Robert Lewandowski, he is currently his closest contender for the Bundesliga Golden boot.

Eintracht Frankfurt are in great form right now, with Silva firing them towards Champions League qualification.

Silva is currently rated 79 OVR, and an 82 rating would be no more than he deserves having scored nearly 20 goals already this season.

Silva is not the only Portuguese star in need of an upgrade, with three Premier League stars also deserving of a Winter Refresh.

Silas Wamangituka (OVR 70 – 77)

Stuttgart winger Silas Wamangituka will surely be one of the highest upgrades in the Winter Refresh.

Wamangituka has been a consistent goal threat from the wing, and scored a superb brace when Stuttgart hammered Borussia Dortmund 5-1.

Rated just 70 OVR, Wamangituka will surely be one of the Bundesliga players included in the Winter Upgrades.
