Warzone Pacific Update: Best places to drop in Caldera and Vanguard Royale

Picking a drop zone for your squad in Warzone is an important task - it can make or break a game and might be the difference between an early trip to the Gulag or making it to the final circle. Caldera is a brand new location for Warzone and a lot of us are out there trying to figure out the best place to drop following the Warzone Pacific update.

Well... We have all the best places to drop in Caldera following the Warzone Pacific update. First, we'll start with what Call of Duty has suggested. Be sure to keep an eye on this, we'll be throwing our own suggestions in here soon!

Call of Duty's Choice - The best Drop Zones

Call of Duty has thrown together a top twenty when it comes to Caldera drop zones - you can check out the map below, but we're going to run through the top five (according to James Mattone of the Call of Duty Blog - you can read his comments here!)

1) Airfield - The Main Runway

This is going to be a great location if you're looking for a plane, but the Air Traffic Control Tower isn't going to be the fortress you're used to from Verdansk - there are two ways up there nowadays and there's going to be a lot of contest in this high-risk and high-reward location.

2) Airfield / Power Plant - Military Camp

This is the perfect place to drop if you want to sweep up those who didn't manage to grab a Fighter Plane in the rush on the Airfield Main Runway. It's a little outside the main POI areas, so there's going to be less loot - but hopefully, less traffic too!

3) Capital - Downtown

This is easily going to be one of the busiest areas of Caldera - it's interior-focused so there's going to be loot to be had, but that also means a lot of attention. There are several multi-story buildings here that should help you stay alive, though.

4) Capital - Marina & Beachside

This is being pitched as a great option for those of you wanting to hit Downtown, but also wanting to avoid the chaos it might bring. There's natural cover in this area that can offer you a way into Downtown unnoticed and a decent-enough amount of loot to get you started.

5) Resort - The Cabanas

This is going to be a high-loot area, but there's a lot of foliage to be used against you. It's on the edge of the map, so should be quieter and can offer you a decent way into the Capital if you're still on the hunt for more equipment - or kills.
