A New Field Upgrade Is Coming To Black Ops Zombies

There's a new Field Upgrade coming to Black Ops Cold War Zombies in Season Two and Call of Duty just keeps getting bigger and better.

The Season Two update isn't too far away and Treyarch is going all out for both Multiplayer and Zombies.

There's new weapons, new Operators, and a brand-new Zombies mode on the way.

But that isn't all. Here's everything you need to know about the new Field Upgrade coming to Black Ops Cold War.

Field Upgrades

What are Field Upgrades? That's what you need to know for any of this to make sense.

Field Upgrades are unlimited-use "abilities" you can equip to a loadout in Black Ops Cold War Zombies. Aether Shroud, for example, is a popular choice.

They can be upgraded in a similar way to Weapon Classes and Perks using Aetherium Crystals and, when used correctly, can be game-changing.

Now, Treyarch is throwing a new Field Upgrade into the mixer and here's everything we know about it; Or, should we say... Frenzied Guard.

Frenzied Guard

So, what is this new Field Upgrade that's on the way anyway?

Frenzied Guard makes the most out of your Armour in Black Ops Cold War Zombies and is the newest addition to the Field Upgrade Armoury.

Below, you can check out a little description of what to expect when using Frenzied Guard from Treyarch:

Upon activation, all enemies will immediately target the Frenzied Guard user for a brief period, during which time only Armor will take damage. This can be a game-changer when fellow Operators are surrounded by the undead masses, as they will turn their attention away from those in peril and towards the armoured saviour.

Use Aethrium Crystals to upgrade Frenzied Guard with powerful modifiers, such as having it repair all Armor upon activation, increasing its duration to 15 seconds, and even slowing all normal enemies to walk speed while it's active.

Frenzied Guard, when used with other Field Upgrades, could become the new meta going forward.
