WWE 2K22 Update 1.07 Patch Notes for March 28 (Today)

Following the release of WWE 2K22 Update 1.06, some issues lingered in the game and one was significant enough to already trigger the release of WWE 2K22 Update 1.07.

With a download size of just 545.83 MB on Xbox Series X|S, that reinforces that this is just a small update aimed at making under the hood tweaks to improve stability.

While their official website lists March 28 for the update, it doesn't appear to have begun deploying until today (March 29), and it's equally small at just 548.3 MB on PS5, which means some users may not even notice the download.

WWE 2K22 Update 1.07 was announced today via the WWE Games account on Twitter, and their tweet reiterated the details seen below in the Patch Notes.

Here are the full WWE 2K22 Update 1.07 Patch Notes:

GENERAL

  • Addresses reported concerns of instability resulting from players applying 35 or more custom image renders to original superstars in Create a Superstar.
  • Improves a reported concern that online instability may occur when one or more users has empty custom portraits.
  • Addresses a reported concern of an issue that may occur when a player accepts an online game invite while WWE 2K22 is in a suspended state.

With the popularity of using custom images continuing to rise, it's no shocker that they've chosen to fire out a hotfix to address the issue.

Custom Portraits and image renders are a hit

With WWE 2K22 Update 1.07 arriving just one week after WWE 2K22 Update 1.06 swept in with a massive list of bug fixes, it's clear the team saw a major priority in addressing Custom Portraits.

Also called Custom Renders, these images allow players to add real-world photos or art to display in various ways through MyGM, Universe Mode, and elsewhere in WWE 2K22.

CUSTOM PORTRAITS: You can spot one for Bayley as a GM here

This is the first year this feature has been a part of the franchise, as in the past players simply had to see their created character's in-game model, which never quite compared to having a full image render for WWE superstars already in the game.

The feature has already become a major fan favorite, with creators and casual players alike using the WWE 2K22 image uploader to plug in custom image renders and add to their experience.
