AEW Fight Forever is no longer a game shrouded in mystery, with the lingering questions over an unknown release date finally being answered!
The game is set to offer something to different to that from what we see in WWE 2K23, with more arcade-like gameplay set to take centre-stage.
With that in mind, here is everything we know about the release of AEW Fight Forever.
LATEST - Release Date CONFIRMED
A release date has finally been set for AEW Fight Forever!
AEW Fight Forever will release on June 29, meaning there's only a month to wait until this game releases.
A game that has been shrouded in mystery since its reveal, AEW Fight Forever has been highly anticipated but has come under fire for a lack of clarity.
With a release date incredibly close to being confirmed, we could finally see the wheels start moving on this major wrestling title.
AEW Fight Forever Release Date
The biggest question everyone will have is exactly when the game will arrive, and for some time it's looked like the most likely AEW Fight Forever release date would be September 2022.

This came per a report by Fightful Select, but with no date announced at Gamescom 2022 or Tokyo Game Show, it's become clear the title has needed further development time.

Cover Star Removed
There are many reasons presently impacting the release of AEW Fight Forever, and the controversy surrounding CM Punk could be a factor as well.
When we got the major announcement of AEW Fight Forever being available for pre-order, it included the reveal of the game's official cover art.
This included several top wrestlers, but the front and centre AEW Fight Forever cover star was none other than CM Punk, at the time one of the company's biggest names.
As seen in the early announcement teaser above, the art showcasing the game featured CM Punk as the most prominent superstar, and this rang true when the official cover seen below was confirmed.

However, it looks like things could be changing following the incidents which may see CM Punk gone from All Elite Wrestling entirely.
Following a backstage altercation after AEW All Out and an ensuing investigation, other names involved have returned to AEW while CM Punk remains missing in action.
Nothing is confirmed as of yet, but multiple reports indicate it's unlikely CM Punk will return to AEW and is just hammering out details of the contract buyout.
Pre-Order, Platforms & Price
Once the formal announcement was made, we learned AEW Fight Forever will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
On top of that, the game will have a standardized $59.99 price point across all platforms with no price hike on next-gen editions.

We don't yet know if AEW Fight Forever will have any sort of Deluxe Edition with extra content or Early Access, but the standard edition is already available for pre-order.
