When are the 2022/23 La Liga fixtures released?

A new season of La Liga is just around the corner, meaning we can now look ahead to the 2022/23 La Liga fixtures release day.

The 2021/22 campaign was a significant one in the modern history of La Liga as Real Madrid followed up their title win with a staggering Champions League campaign that saw them beat Chelsea, PSG, Man City and Liverpool on their way to victory.

Barcelona's rebuild under Xavi Hernandez stepped up last time around as the Blaugrana recovered to finish second, while Atletico Madrid, Sevilla and Real Betis rounded off the European places.

In 2022/23, we also welcome back Real Valladolid and Almeira, who both returned to the top flight at the first time of asking.

2022/23 La Liga Fixture Release Date

We now have an official release date for the 2022/23 La Liga fixtures. The complete fixture list for the 2022/23 La Liga season will be announced on Thursday, June 24th at 5pm CEST.

This means that on Thursday we will have all confirmed fixtures for the opening day and final day, two of the most anticipated matchdays of any league season.

2022/23 La Liga Key Dates

As is the case for every major European league, La Liga's start date has been pushed forward to accommodate for the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

The opening day of the 2022/23 La Liga season will therefore take place on August 12th. The season will take a break throughout November and December and will come to an end later than usual on June 4th, 2023.
