Two new Air Jordan 2 colourways have been revealed by Nike SNKRS in collaboration with the African American contemporary artist Nina Chanel Abney, leaving many fans wondering if Nike has announced a release date yet?
While the first design utilises the classic high-top silhouette associated with several of the best Jordan 2 colourways around, the second set will arrive as a pair of Lows.
Their addition to the Jordan 2 line-up means 2022 is shaping up to be an exciting year for an often overlooked model, particularly following the release of the Maison Château Rouge Jordan 2s.

Nina Chanel Abney x Air Jordan 2 Release Date
Both pairs of the Nina Chanel Abney collaboration launched on 8 July 2022 at 3pm according to their listings on the Nike SNKRS launch page.
That means they're available to pick up right now if you're itching to get your hands on a pair.
We'd recommend acting fast though as both colourways will likely sell out quickly given their standout designs and being a high-profile collaboration.
Nina Chanel Abney x Air Jordan 2 Designs
As mentioned, there are two new Nina Chanel Abney Jordan 2 colourways. The first of which adopts a Chicago-inspired colour scheme, much like the new "Heritage" 1s.
This means the bulk of the sneakers arrive in white leather, but will also include reptile texture overlays and grey suede across the mudguards and heels.
You then get Gym Red heel counters to match the insoles and elements of the outsole units.
Completing the design are the black laces and Nike branding on the heels, plus custom hangtags featuring Abney's artwork.
The low-top colourway remains mostly the same with white leather, reptile-like overlays, and grey suede mudguards.
However, the black laces are switched out for white and the pops of red have been replaced with a Malachite green.
This gives them somewhat of a Stan Smith-type look which will no doubt put them in contention to be considered among some of the best sneakers for summer.

The low-top variation is listed for $225 in adult sizing, whilst the high-tops come with a $250 price tag.
