After rumours began to spread earlier this year, Nike SNKRS has now officially revealed the brand's reimagined take on the classic Air Jordan 1 "Chicago" colourway for 2022.
Interestingly, the "Chicago" design by Peter Moore was one of the first Jordan 1s released in 1985 and has gone on to become one of the most highly sought-after and best Jordan 1 colourways of all time.
However, while the original 1985 design has influenced Jordan releases for years to come, we're focusing our attention specifically on what to expect from the reimagined "Chicago" colourway in this article.

Air Jordan 1 Chicago Reimagined Release Date
Despite some reports announcing the shoes would debut in October, the "Chicago" 1s have now been listed on the SNKRS launch page with a release date set for 19 November 2022.
That means there's not long left to wait if you're itching to get hold of these re-released classics. We'd recommend acting fast though as, being one of the most popular colourways ever made, the shoes are bound to sell out fast.

Air Jordan 1 Chicago Reimagined Design
The reimagined release for 2022 stays true to the 1985 originals in a number of ways that go beyond just their appearance.
For instance, the shoes arrive in a pre-weathered box featuring paper inside covered in original Air Force 1 advertisements from 1985.
The shoes themselves have also been pre-worn, with Nike using cracked leather across the uppers and slightly off-white rubber for the midsoles to give the sense that they've arrived straight from the '80s.
In terms of the colours, Nike has used the same white, black, and University Red combination to dress the uppers as well as the soles.
You'll also find old-school Nike Air branding on the tongues and the Wings insignia on the collars to complete the reimagined remake of the "Chicago" colourway.

The "Chicago" 1s retail for $180 in adult sizing via the SNKRS launch page.
Smaller and subsequently cheaper kid's sizes are also listed. For instance, Big Kids' variations are available for $140, Little Kids' for $85, and Toddler sizes for $70.
