J Balvin x Air Jordan 2 OUT NOW: release date, price, and where to buy

International music artist J Balvin has teamed with Air Jordan again, this time to launch a new pair of sky blue 2s which have finally been revealed via Nike SNKRS after rumours of their arrival began circulating earlier this year.

Although not as universally loved as some of the best Jordan 1s, the Jordan 2 is garnering a little more attention in 2022, especially with some high-end collaborations, like the Maison Château Rouge release, debuting this year.

With J Balvin's creative input for this upcoming colourway as well, it looks as though Jordan 2s will finally be getting the attention they deserve this year despite the silhouette being over 35 years old.

J Balvin x Air Jordan 2 Release Date

Although originally unknown, J Blavin took to Instagram to reveal his Air Jordan 2 collaboration will launch globally on 15 September 2022 after an initial launch in his hometown of Medellín, Colombia.

That means the shoes are available now in both Colombia and the rest of the world. You can find the shoes listed on the SNKRS launch page, which also confirmed the shoe's arrival in Little Kids' and Toddler sizes as well as adults.

These sneakers are not too dissimilar to some of the best Jordan 2 colourways around, especially with their light blue colour scheme.

More specifically, the uppers arrive mostly in a light blue shade of ripstop material rather than leather, with puffy paneling across the collars and parts of the mid-foot.

You then get cloudy graphics across a bright blue sky on the heel overlays and interior lining.

The heels also feature J Balvin's smiley face emblem dressed in yellow, almost as if it were the sun shining through the skyline.

One of the most interesting aspects of these sneakers though is their glow-in-the-dark capabilities.

Both the outsoles and the Jordan insignia on the tongues feature a phosphor finish which makes them glow bright green once the light fades.

J Balvin x Air Jordan 2 Price

Although originally unknown, Nike's listing has now confirmed that the J Balvin Jordan 2s cost $300.

The Little Kids' variation retail for slightly less at $100, while the Toddler sizes cost just $80, a relatively inexpensive price by comparison.
