MLB The Show 22 Trophies & Achievements Guide

MLB The Show 22 is finally arriving to carry the standout baseball franchise forward, and a new game means new challenges for players.

MLB The Show 22 continues to expand their platform footprint as this year's game is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

This marks only their second year on Xbox, and therefore just the the second time people can earn Achievements from the MLB The Show series.

The title debuted on Nintendo Switch this year, but Nintendo doesn't have an equivalent Trophies or Achievements system.

We've noted whether the following listings are Bronze, Silver, or Gold on PlayStation, but do not yet have details on the Gamerscore assigned on Xbox.

While not listed below, players on PS4 and PS5 can also earn "King of the Diamond!", the Platinum Trophy awarded after collecting all others.

Game Mode Trophies & Achievements

Like most games, MLB The Show 22 does have a few trophies and achievements tied up to a specific game mode like Diamond Dynasty.

However, none are linked to Road to the Show, March to October, or Franchise Mode, a bit of a surprising move as they do usually pair more game modes with these.

However, there are only two:

• The Portal is Open! (Bronze): Create a Diamond Dynasty team.
• Did we just become friends? (Silver): Enter into any co-op game.

These should take no time at all to complete and will be the easiest ones to unlock in MLB The Show 22.

Dynamic Difficulty Trophies & Achievements

Next up, we have six trophies and achievements tied to Dynamic Difficulty, a feature that's been further upgraded this year.

Dynamic Difficulty allows you to start on the lowest possible difficulty, and then the game will continue to adjust and promote you to more challenging difficulty levels based on your own gameplay.

Here are the six Dynamic Difficulty trophies and achievements:

• Bat Dabbler! (Bronze): Promote to Amateur batting difficulty in Dynamic Difficulty.
• Pitching Dabbler! (Bronze): Promote to Amateur pitching difficulty in Dynamic Difficulty.
• Minor Batting Adjustments! (Silver): Promote to Minors Batting difficulty in Dynamic Difficulty.
• Minor Pitching Adjustments! (Silver): Promote to Minors Pitching difficulty in Dynamic Difficulty.
• Pitching Rook! (Gold): Promote to Rookie pitching difficulty in Dynamic Difficulty.
• Batting Rook! (Gold): Promote to Rookie batting difficulty in Dynamic Difficulty.

These aren't mode-specific, so simply use Dynamic Difficulty while playing in any game mode from MLB The Show 22 and by improving you'll naturally unlock each of these.

All of the remaining trophies are specific to how you play, and you'll unlock them with big moments and successful games.

• Professional Framer! (Silver): Throw more than 60% first-pitch strikes in a complete-game victory.

• Locked In! (Gold): Achieve a hit while using PCI Anchor.

• Double-sided Bat Flip! (Gold): Achieve a hit, a single or better from both sides of the plate with the same batter in a single game.

• Big Fly Ohtani San! (Gold): Hit a home run with any starting pitcher.
  • (This trophy is not awarded if completed in a local multiplayer game, practice mode, or by switching teams.)
• Four-bagger Express! (Gold): In any stadium, hit an inside the park home run.

While not particularly extreme, some of these will take some time to unlock depending on your own skill and the sheer amount of time it takes to complete a full 9-inning game, which is required a few of them.
