Microsoft has been making huge plays with their Xbox Game Pass service recently.
With the recent acquisition of Bethesda we have already seen 20 Bethesda owned titles come to the service last week.
Now, they have announced that Outriders will be coming to Xbox Game Pass too.
Outriders Launching On Game Pass
In an Xbox Wire blog post, Microsoft announced that Outriders will be coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one.
"Starting April 1, Xbox Game Pass for Console and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can jump into this true genre-hybrid from Square Enix, which combines brutal combat with deep RPG systems."
Phil Spencer has said in the past that he is looking to bring third-party titles to the service on day one, much like what Sony has done with games such as Fall Guys, Worms Rumble and others, where they have released on PS Plus on day one.
Currently, only first-party titles such as Halo, Gear of War, and Fable launch on Game Pass on day one, so it is great to see Microsoft making moves to try and secure major third party titles too.
For those that have already pre-ordered Outriders on Xbox but would prefer to play using Game Pass, you should be able to get a refund from Microsoft.
According to their website, follow these steps and you should be able to refund your purchase.
- Go to your Order history and find the order or pre-order.
- Select Cancel item next to the item you want to cancel. If you don't see this option, you've already been charged for the item, but you can request an exchange or refund.
- Select the check box next to the item and then select the Cancel item button.
- Check your inbox for an email confirming the order was canceled. If you don't see the confirmation email in your inbox after a few minutes, check your spam or junk mail folder.
