The Corrupted Vibranium limited-time Event is coming to Marvel's Avengers

The largest post-launch content drop for Marvel's Avengers is just about here and we're here to talk about the next limited-time event that's due to hit Crystal Dynamics heroic beat-em-up this week. The Corrupted Vibranium event is tied in directly to the War For Wakanda expansion and it sounds like a fantastic opportunity to earn some Exotic-level gear for your main. Here's everything we know...

When does the Corrupted Vibranium event start?

Marvel's Avengers' next in-game event is due to take place a couple of days after the War For Wakanda expansion launches. This should give you enough time to tackle the opening stages of the new narrative and get to grips with the Black Panther - the game's newest playable character.

All we know so far is that the Corrupted Vibranium Event is due to start on August 19th and run until September 2nd.

Without a specific time, we can only assume that it's going to begin at the following times:

• 08:00 - PST
• 11:00 - EST
• 16:00 - BST

This is when Marvel's Avengers usually releases updates and in-game events. We don't think the development team are going to change their release schedule anytime soon.

What do you need to do during the event?

Much like any other in-game event in Marvel's Avengers, there's going to be a mixture of Hero-specific Challenge Missions and Event Missions. As you can see in the image shared below, it looks like the Mission Objectives are going to be pretty standard.

Completing event-specific Threat Sectors, defeating enemies with specific attacks, and dealing Vibranium Damage are all going to feature and should be objectives you can work towards through standard gameplay.

Vibranium is the newest Status Effect for items in Marvel's Avengers and you can earn them for completing Corrupted Vibranium Threat Sectors during the Corrupted Vibranium event. You should also be able to pick more of these up from N'lix, the Gear Vendor in the Wakandan Outpost.
