Here's everything you need to know!

UPDATE - Director's Cut out now!

Ghost of Tsushima's Director's Cut is actually out now, so that means you can start downloading the PS5 version of the game and prepare yourself for the adventure of a lifetime - now in 4K with 60FPS!

Remember, you're going to need your Ghost of Tsushima PS4 disc in order to get the discounted PS5 Director's Cut upgrade. PlayStation needs to make sure you've still got it, we guess.

Check out everything you need to know about how you can transfer your Save Data below, though.

How do you transfer your PS4 Save Data?

All you need to do is boot up Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut on your PS5 and select the "Transfer PS4 Console Save" option on the main menu. We know, we know - it sounds so simple! That's because it is that simple, really.

THAT EASY? - Sucker Punch Productions have made it that easy...

Before, with titles like Marvel's Avengers, you would need to download an update for the PS4 version of your game and have both versions installed at the same time. This left many forced into restarting the progress they had made in the current-gen version of the game purely due to lack of storage space.

With the PS4 version of Ghost of Tsushima getting a 21GB update today - version 2.04 is laying a lot of the groundwork for the Director's Cut content coming tomorrow and adding Legends content - it wouldn't be easy to fit the two on the same console.

FIGHT FOR YOUR HOME - Ghost of Tsushima has never looked better!

Thankfully, now, your PS5 should be able to use the Cloud to find your Ghost of Tsushima Save Data and transfer that to the PS5 version of the game without the need for Ghost of Tsushima's PS4 version downloaded. Of course, it will probably be a faster process if the two are installed together but it isn't necessary.

Ghost of Tsushima's Director's Cut is out on August 20th on PS5 and PS4. Both feature the Iki Island expansion and the PS5 version features a number of additional features - such as:

  • DualSense Support
    • Including Adaptive Triggers and Haptic Feedback
  • Japanese Lip Sync to Japanese Audio
  • 4K Resolution and 60 FPS
