The playoffs are now ready to start next week and we get closer to the massive TOTY cards.
Another Sunday in the books means another set of performances to predict who will be added to Madden 21’s Ultimate Team.
Who will get the big cards this time?
Madden 21 TOTW 17 release date
Unlike the usual weekly releases, there was an announcement on Good Morning Madden that EA Sports would be focusing on the Zero Chill Christmas releases
This means that the TOTW cards will be stored and released in one big update in January. So on January 12th 2021, we will get four weeks in one - week 14 thru 17.
Make sure to do the solo challenge so you get your Team of the Year token!
LTD – Aaron Rodgers
When the #1 seed was on the line, the Packers kept their best player in and it showed.
Rodgers made it look so easy. In the Packers' demolition of the Bears, he had 19 passes for 240 yards and four TDs.
It should have been five TD's but Valdez-Scantling dropped one when clean through on the five-yard line. That bomb was also his first incompletion.
It's not just what he did, but how he did it. And without his star LT.
POTW – Jonathan Taylor
Jonathan Taylor continued his impressive rookie campaign with a huge game in the Colts' wk17 win against the Jags.
With 30 carries for 253 yards and two TDs, Taylor averaged an amazing 8.4 yards per carry.
His best current card is an 88 OVR Team Builder, but that is going to change.
This year the TOTW Heroes are used to get more historical players into the game.
It’s almost impossible to guess, but seeing the Jets getting a win they might fancy boosting fans' experiences, so something like Fred Taylor could easily come into the game here to help make Jags fans feel better about securing the #1 pick.
Rest of TOTW 17 predictions
Who could get the other slots in the TOTW promo?
Let’s take a look.
Cooks was in with a shout for POTW, but the fact his performance wasn't enough to get the Texans the win counted against him.
He caught 11 receptions for 166 yards and two TDs in the late loss to the Titans.
With DeAndre Hopkins leaving the last offseason there was space for a WR to step up - it's a shame for the team it took to wk17.
It took a wk17 game versus the Jets but Cam Newton has shown up for the 2020 season.
He increased his passing TD count by 50% with a great wk17 performance.
He had 21 passes for 242 yards and three TDs. He added 79 yards rushing and a receiving TD too.
The infamous WR is getting back to his old form just in time for the playoffs.
He had 11 catches for 138 yards and two TD's - which was just enough catches to unlock a $250,000 contract bonus.
Shepherd helped the Giants overcome the Cowboys to give them a chance for the playoffs.
Shepherd had 8 catches for 112 yards and a TD, as well as a rushing TD.
