If you're looking for a hit of nostalgia this weekend, you might be thinking of picking up Rockstar Games' newly remastered Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition. It's a bit of a mouthful, but if the price is scaring you off... We're here to tell you whether the remastered GTA Trilogy is on Xbox Game Pass or not. There's good and bad news.
Is GTA Trilogy: Definitive Edition on Game Pass?
Yes, but actually no. The Definitive Edition re-re-re-release of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas is available on Xbox Game Pass at the moment, but not the re-re-re-release of Grand Theft Auto III or Grand Theft Auto Vice City.
San Andreas is easily the biggest title of the three, so this really is still a win for Xbox Game Pass members. We don't know how long it'll be available, though, so we'd recommend jumping in sooner rather than later.
Here's what's included, just to re-cap...
Grand Theft Auto III
" It all starts in Liberty City. With the freedom to go anywhere and jack anyone, the ruthless world of crime is at your fingertips, if you have enough guts to take it."
Grand Theft Auto Vice City
" Welcome to the 1980s. From the decade of big hair and pastel suits comes the story of one man’s rise to the top of the criminal pile. Grand Theft Auto returns with Tommy Vercetti’s tale of betrayal and revenge in a neon-soaked tropical town full of excess and brimming with possibilities."
Grand Theft Auto San Andreas
" It’s the early ’90s. After a couple of cops frame him for homicide, Carl ‘CJ’ Johnson is forced on a journey that takes him across the entire state of San Andreas, to save his family and to take control of the streets."
