Does GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition Have Online?

GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition is finally out this week, so you'll be returning to San Andreas and Vice City very soon. However, in the GTA Online led age of Grand Theft Auto, you may be wondering what's new in the remasters and whether GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition has online multiplayer.

Does GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition Have Online?

In short, no, there are no GTA Online features in the GTA Trilogy, nor does it have any multiplayer options.

As fun as that might be in theory, these games are pretty old, so creating an online component to them would be so much work for Rockstar, to the point that the remasters might not even be worth their time.

Rolling around San Andreas with your friends would be a lot of fun, as would creating your own events in those areas, but that's simply not going to be possible.

You're going to have to wait until the likes of GTA 6 for a brand new GTA Online experience, but that could be a long time away yet.

GTA Trilogy in GTA Online

While there won't be any online in the trilogy, that doesn't mean there won't be any crossovers between it and GTA V's online mode.

While Rockstar hasn't announced anything yet, it would be somewhat of a shock if they didn't take advantage of remasters' release by showcasing elements from them in GTA Online. At the end of the day, it would be a form of free marketing for them, so don't be surprised to see them crop up.

We don't know what form any crossover could take, since so much is in GTA Online already, but we'll let you know as soon as something is revealed.

Maybe new skins or themed San Andreas events would be cool to see in a modern Los Santos. We'll have to wait and see.
