Fortnite Adds Ripsaw Launcher and Firework Flare Gun

Season 3 of Fortnite has brought a lot of interesting changes to the battle royale but the recent 21.10 Update might have added the two most unique and interesting weapons so far.

The Ripsaw Launcher and the Firework Flare Gun are both now available across the various game modes Fortnite has to offer. Here is everything you need to know about both weapons and how you can use them.

Firework Flare Gun

A reskin of the flare gun, the firework flare gun, can currently be found in Fortnite's creative mode and fires a colourful firework into the air that lights up the sky.

While this weapon is only available in creative right now, it's very likely that it will quickly make its way over to the normal battle royale loot pool as while the firework has its cosmetic lighting, it can also be used to locate nearby enemies. While this does have its uses in some creative maps, it would fit perfectly into the regular gameplay, much like last season's recon scanner.

Ripsaw Launcher

The Ripsaw launcher meanwhile is currently available in the game and can be found in the factory North of Logjam Lumberyard which has now been called The Chop Shop.

The Ripsaw Launcher once fired launches in a straight line for 10 seconds, chewing through any buildings or structures in its way until it disappears. The ripsaw is also a powerful weapon, dealing a lot of damage to any enemy unlucky enough to be in its path. The downside to this is a slow rate of fire and an even slower reload time, both of which limit its use in actual combat.
