FIFA 22 RTTF Mini-release: Mahrez leads four new players in promo

This past week saw the return of Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League action - and EA has got us all in the move in the latest FIFA 22 Ultimate Team promo; Road to the Final.

We saw 18 live items arrive on Friday, with these cards improving the further their clubs go in this season's European competitions.

Four more items have joined the party - and here's who's in store.

Riyad Mahrez (RTTF 91)

If you enjoyed Riyad Mahrez's Flashback Item - then brace yourself for an even greater card with this Road to the Final mini-release.

Starting with epic stats of 93 dribbling, 90 pace, 87 shooting and 86 passing, the Algerian is the perfect man to make things happen in the final third.

Not only that, but if Manchester City go the distance in this year's Champions League - Mahrez will end up with a 97 rated card.

Emre Can (RTTF 86)

After Borussia Dortmund's woeful performance against Rangers on Thursday, Emre Can's RTTF item may not be too popular at first.

That sad, winning the return leg in Glasgow would at least take his card to 87 - and if BVB do make it through, they will be among the favourites to win this year's Europa League.

Dominik Szoboszlai (RTTF 85)

Another German side in the running is RB Leipzig, who played out an entertaining 2-2 draw with Real Sociedad on Thursday.

With still the away leg to come, moving for Szoboszlai's item would be a risk, but with the Hungarian's pace, shooting, passing and dribbling all rated 87 or 88 - he could be a great option for your Bundesliga squad.

Jason Denayer (RTTF 84)

If you need a pacey centre back, this Jason Denayer item is a fantastic choice.

His side Lyon are already through to the last 16 of the Europa League, so you will need to be patient for an upgrade.

With 86 pace and links to Presnel Kimpemebe, Marquinhos, Achraf Hakimi and Aurilien Tchouameni - don't sleep on this new Denayer item.

How do RTTF items wortk?

With a slight change in how the Europa League works this season (thanks to the arrival of the Europa Conference League), RTTF upgrades aren't exactly the same as they have been in the past.

LEVEL UP - Some cards could see their overalls rise by six points

Winning your first knockout game after the start of the campaign will see your card rise by +1, and then an additional +1 when your side qualifies for the quarter-finals.

Therefore, Europa League already through to the last 16, would receive their first upgrades next month.

Qualifying for the semi-finals will see another +1 upgrade, another +1 for reaching the final and then +2 for winning the competition.

Mason Mount (RTTF 90) was the only winner last season, after Villarreals Takefusa Kubo moved clubs, preventing his 84 rating getting into the 90s.
