Cafu and Di Natale heavily linked to FIFA 22 along with 'FUT Heroes Club'

News surrounding FIFA 22 is starting to appear regularly, with some potential new Icon players now 'confirmed'.

There are plenty of leaks over social media, especially after the Beta went live on Wednesday, 23 June, but was taken down within 24 hours after a string of leaks were released across the web.

The latest 'leaks' focus on some changes to FUT Icons, so let's take a closer look.

Release date

Unsurprisingly there has been no word on when FIFA 22 will officially be released, but we can have a pretty accurate guess.

FIFA 22 will likely be released between Friday, 24 September and Friday, 8 October 2021, judging by the release in previous years.

Ultimate Team

The most popular and lucrative mode in the FIFA franchise is Ultimate Team, so this is where EA focuses its efforts.

Expect to see some new features, designs, and promo events throughout the year as EA will try to keep things fresh.

It is rumoured that several players will be returning to the game as Icon players in Ultimate Team.

We would love this to be true as the seven players named are deserving of a place among the Icon elite. Take a look at the potential new FIFA 22 Icons including Spanish maestro Xabi Alonso.

FUT Heroes Club

It looks like we could have something new in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team according to @FutWatch on Twitter.

Last year we had a 'team code' for the FUT 21 Icons, effectively showing the Icon symbol on the cards in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team.

According to FutWatch, the latest code has seen the name changed to Icons Club, with a second team name also spotted in the code!

A new 'FUT Heroes Club' has been found, which could mean a second version of the Icon cards which could include Liverpool's 2005 Champions League final hero Jerzy Dudek.

New Icons

The FUT Heroes Club is not the only new addition to the game we have seen heavily linked either.

Brazilian 2002 World Cup-winning captain Cafu is set to feature in the game and would be a welcome addition to the game.

With 142 caps for the national team, Cafu is certainly ranked among the best right-backs to ever play the game.

@FUTZone on Twitter has also revealed that Antonio Di Natale will be added to the game offering a classy new attacking option.

Another striker that could be in the game is Brazilian hitman Luis Fabiano.

It looks like the ranks of Icons are set to be heavily bolstered once more.
