The FIFA community has high hopes for FIFA 22 as it will be the first in the series fully optimised for next-gen consoles.
This means the graphics will likely be incredible, but hopefully, EA goes all out and make this the best version of the game.
It looks like we will have several new Icons on FIFA 22 Ultimate Team too which you can see below.
FIFA 22
FIFA 22 will likely be released between Friday, 24 September, and Friday, 8 October, 2021, judging by the release in previous years.
By the time FIFA 22 is released, many of us will be playing on Next Gen consoles... hopefully.
FIFA 21 on Next Gen consoles includes incredibly fast loading times, and immersive stadium atmospheres, but what could FIFA 22 look like on Next Gen?
FIFA 22 on PS5 and Xbox Series X could bring us the most realistic esports game ever with enhanced graphics and meticulous attention to detail.
Ultimate Team
EA has livened up Ultimate Team in recent seasons, and the introduction of co-op on FUT 21 caused great excitement.
We hope that the game does see some improvements on FIFA 22 though, and we have put together a wishlist of seven features we want on FUT 22.
There will almost certainly be some new faces in the Icon ranks on FUT 22 too, and there are some big names we would love to see.
New Icons
According to some leaks on social media, seven new Icons could be coming to FIFA 22.
Former Barcelona and Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure is arguably the most exciting name in the mix, but any of these seven would be great additions.
England duo John Terry and Paul Gascoigne are included in the leak, along with former Liverpool maestro Xabi Alonso.
Diego Forlan, Robbie Keane, and iconic goggle-wearing Dutch star Edgar Davids complete the seven and we would love it if this proves to be true.
Wishlist
Aside from the seven players mentioned above, we want to see an Icon Wayne Rooney!
England's record goalscorer is currently managing Derby County and received an End of an Era card on FUT 21 to commemorate a glittering career.
We also want to see Manchester City legend Vincent Kompany return to the game.
City's former captain has achieved legendary status in Manchester and the Premier League after leading the club in their drive to the top of the footballing world.
