FIFA 17: Top 10 Five Star Skillful Players
It is always useful to have a player who can bust out any trick in the book on FIFA 17, regardless of what game mode you are playing. RealSport provides the top 10 players to have five star skills to their name.
If you a FIFA trickster, and have taken the time to revise all the skill moves in the instruction manual, you are going to want to know which players you can you unleash a lesson of skill school with. If you’ve got those moves in your arsenal, you can wind up your mates on kick-off, climb up the divisions on seasons, and become an Ultimate Team. RealSport presents the top 10 players with five-star skill moves.
Cristiano Ronaldo (OVR 94 – POT 94)
Umm, who else did you think was going to top this list? Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo finally eclipses Lionel Messi as the best player on FIFA, and with his five-star skills to boot, he is the most destructive player on FIFA 17. 95 jumping, 94 positioning and 94 shot power are just a handful of his top attributes, but a player that good comes at a price. The reigning Euros and Champions League champion will cost you around £90 million to sign on Career Mode, a whopping 1.5 million coins on Xbox One Ultimate Team and near 1.3 million coins on PlayStation 4.
Neymar (OVR 92 – POT 95)
Out of all the players on this top 10, Neymar is perhaps the only one who showcases his skills in real life. The 24-year-old Brazilian constantly unleashes showboating touches and rainbow flicks for Barcelona, and his abilities aren’t bad either. The left winger has 96 agility, 93 acceleration and 90 positioning, making him deadly whether on or off the ball. As you’d expect Neymar doesn’t come cheap, and you will need over £100 million to steal him on Career Mode, but an almost ‘affordable’ 500,000 coins on either console on Ultimate Team.
Paul Pogba (OVR 88 – POT 94)
Not the first thing you think of regarding Paul Pogba, but he does have the ability to beat players with skill in his locker. He is perhaps the best all-round player on the planet, with 91 stamina, 91 strength, and 90 ball control. Manchester United fans are still waiting to see the Frenchman’s full abilities, but at just 23 years old, there is no need to rush the central midfielder. You will have to wait until January to sign the most expensive player in the world, and you will then need to top that fee by putting in a bid of over £100 million on Career Mode to get hold of him. His Ultimate Team fee of over 530,000 (PS4) and 630,000 (XB1) make him a very tricky but lucrative acquisition).
Angel di Maria (OVR 87 – POT 87)
Some players who have completed The Journey on FIFA 17 will be familiar with Angel di Maria’s capabilities on the game, and despite things not quite working out in at Manchester United for the Argentine, you still cannot doubt his ability. The right winger has 90-rated crossing, 90 agility and 87 dribbling making him PSG’s most dangerous attacking weapon. The 28-year-old will cost you near £60 million on Career Mode, over 60,000 coins on PS4 Ultimate Team and over 50,000 on XB1.
Franck Ribery (OVR 86 – POT 86)
Franck Ribery’s best days may be behind him, but the Bayern Munich winger can still beat a player for skill any day of the week. His other attributes are also pretty useful with 91 balance, 90 dribbling and 90 agility. Now 33 and in the last year of his contract, he will only cost £13 million on Career Mode making him one of the biggest bargains on the game. On Ultimate Team, over 30,000 coins on PS4 and over 25,000 on XB1 make him a relatively affordable top class talent.
Riyad Mahrez (OVR 85 – POT 88)
What a season this guy had last year. The PFA Plyer of the Year led Leicester to an astonishing Premier League title, and it was more his creating and goal scoring that earned his plaudits than his ability to beat a man. But there is no questioning the Algerian’s talent in that department, with his five-star skills going with 92 agility, 89 dribbling and 88 ball control. The right or attacking midfielder can be yours in Career Mode for upwards of £50 million, and around the 30,000 Ultimate Team coins on either console.
Thiago (OVR 84 – POT 87)
When Pep Guardiola brought Thiago with him to Bayern Munich from Barcelona, many tipped the Spaniard to go on and be one of the best in the world. There is still no doubting his potential, but he has since failed to make that noticeable breakthrough, being limited to just 14 caps for his country. EA Sports still recognise his capabilities, though, giving him 90-rated volleys, 90 dribbling and 90 agility alongside his five-star skills. The 25-year-old will cost you near £45 million on Career Mode, but he is very affordable on Ultimate Team. Thiago’s ‘Buy It Now’ price is around 7,000 coins on PS4 and 4,000 on XB1.
Douglas Costa (OVR 84 – POT 85)
Douglas Costa has the potential to be one of the most destructive wingers in the world and don’t be surprised if his stats are improved throughout this season. The Bayern Munich man has incredible attacking skills, as shown by his 96 acceleration, 90 agility and 88 balance. The 25-year-old will set you back around £50 million on Career Mode, close to 30,000 coins on XB1 Ultimate Team, and as much 40,000 coins on PS4.
Hatem Ben Arfa (OVR 84 – POT 84)
What a comeback Hatem Ben Arfa has had. The former Newcastle man thought about retiring when he had to wait the best part of nine months to play for OGC Nice, but that move transformed his career. He was surprisingly omitted from Didier Deschamps’ French squad for Euro 2016, with his recent move to Paris Saint-Germain highlighting his abilities. The attacking midfielder, striker or right winger has 91-rated dribbling, 87 penalties and 86 ball control, which will cost around £30 million on Career Mode to get your hands on. He is an expensive purchase on Ultimate Team, costing close to 50,000 coins on both consoles.
Nani (OVR 83 – POT 83)
The fourth current or ex-Manchester United man in our Top 10 shows what kind of player the Old Trafford club attracts. Nani is now at Spanish side Valencia as he looks to finish his career with a flourish after that incredible Euro 2016 victory with Portugal. The 29-year-old still has many weapons in his locker, including 92 agility, 87 dribbling and 86 ball control on this year’s FIFA. Having just signed for Valencia you will have to wait until January to sign him, and he should cost just around the £25 million mark. He is very wallet friendly on Ultimate Team, coming in at 7,000 coins on PS4 and 5,000 on XB1.
