The Season 4 Reloaded update was a bit lacklustre and Raven Software are countering that with... Another lacklustre update? Surely not. Warzone Season 5 is almost here and there's not as much going on as you might hope. Here's when to expect Season 5 to release and what's on offer.
UPDATE - Release Time & Preload Details
We might not know how many GB the Warzone Season 5 update is going to set you back, specifically (we made an estimate here, though) but we do know when you can start downloading it.
Warzone's Season 5 update is due to arrive at the following times:
- 21:00 August 11th - PST
- 00:00 August 12th - EST
- 05:00 August 12th - BST
Funnily enough, this is the same time as we expect the Season 5 content itself to release on both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. So, it looks like you'll be able to jump into the new update as soon as you download the update!
Call of Duty Vanguard Reveal in Warzone Season 5
While we know almost for certain that some map changes, some new weapons of some kind, and a new Operator or two will come, hopefully, Season 5 introduces something a bit more exciting.
It's approaching the time for us to see the reveal of CoD Vanguard, which is the rumoured name of 2021's new Call of Duty game.
Following the success of doing so for Black Ops Cold War, we'd expect the new game to be revealed via a live event in Warzone, and Season 5 would be the perfect time to do so.
We'd be surprised if it was at the start of Season 5, but the mid-season update would be the perfect time to reveal the new game in a playable event.
Therefore, it's likely that Season 5's initial update puts the teases in motion, so expect to see some strange things at launch.
