Mauer Der Toten has only just come out, relatively speaking, so we're not expecting to get a new round-based Zombies map for some time. However, Treyarch is still throwing some new Zombies content at us in Black Ops Cold War's Season 5 update and we're here to talk about the new Field Upgrade: Tesla Storm.
If used correctly, this could actually be one of the best out there. Field Upgrades are best used when varied in your squad and this adds an important asset to any Outbreak squad. Here's everything we know.
Zombies' new Field Upgrade explained
Tesla Storm is the newest Field Upgrade for Black Ops Cold War's Zombies mode and it certainly looks like it will be a fantastic option for a high-round Outbreak game.
When you activate the Tesla Storm Field Upgrade, at its base level, it shocks enemies around you and "links" you and your allies. This means you can spread out a bit and shock enemies that run between you and try to break your formation. This could be handy when dealing with a roaming horde out in Outbreak, or when you're trying to escape a tight spot in a round-based game.
Tesla Storm, though, sounds like it's going to be more useful than that when you upgrade it.
" Upon upgrading its Skill Tiers, this electricity can start stunning Special and Elite Zombies, and even boost your squad’s movement speed!"
We don't know exactly what each Skill Tier does yet, but increasing your squad's movement speed seems like a no-brainer. Stamin-Up is a must-buy Perk on both Outbreak and round-based Zombies and throwing even more movement speed into things could be fantastic when used at the right times.
