Exposing the turnbuckle is a mechanic every player needs to know how to perform in WWE 2K25, as sending an opponent into it can cause huge damage and change the fight's momentum.

It's worth nothing that exposing the turnbuckle and sending your opponent into it will disqualify you, as removing the turnbuckle pad and exposing the steel is not legal.

However, in no-disqualification matches, such as Hell in a Cell, Elimination Chamber, and War Games, this strategy effectively inflicts significant damage on your opponent quickly and easily.

Once you do this, your character will perform an animation removing the turnbuckle and exposing the steel. But you need to be careful once you expose it, as your opponent can also use it against you.

In wrestling, it's often said that he who sets it up must go through it. This is mostly the case for tables, but that can also happen to exposed turnbuckles. It can give your opponent a way back into the fight, so be very careful about it.

Your opponent can send you into the exposed turnbuckle with an Irish Whip, do a running knee while you are in the corner, and even perform a finisher with your character leaning against the exposed turnbuckle.

All these actions will deal huge damage and can even put you away for good. So, while exposing the turnbuckle can turn the tides in your favour, it can also completely shift the momentum of the fight in favour of your opponent.
