Sony San Diego Studios has officially revealed the MLB The Show 25 Cover athletes. You heard it right, cover athletes. For the first time ever, MLB The Show will have a cover featuring three athletes.
We already knew Elly De La Cruz and Gunnar Henderson would be on the cover, as they made sure to announce it through their Instagram. However, we weren't expecting Paul Skenes to also feature on the cover of MLB The Show 25.
The result of these three rising stars coming together it's and historic and incredibly looking cover.
A Cover for the Ages
As mentioned above, the MLB The Show 25 cover is historic, as it marks the first time more than one player features in it.
Picking Elly De La Cruz, Gunnar Henderson, and Paul Skenes, to be part of the cover seems to have been a fantastic decision. The MLB The Show community feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, as they love that Sony San Diego Studios wasn't afraid to be bold with the cover.
This cover symbolizes the beginning of a new era for MLB The Show, as the game has moved on from old-gen platforms and won't be coming to Xbox Game Pass for the first time in years.
This entry also has fewer editions than previous titles, as MLB The Show 25 only has two editions, half of what it had in the previous year.
So, this MLB The Show 25 cover isn't the only thing historic about the game, as Sony San Diego Studios seems to have chosen this entry to revolutionise the franchise.
