- Quick Answer: MLB The Show 27 is expected to launch in March 2027 with four days of pre-order early access, pending possible delays from MLB CBA lockout negotiations.
MLB The Show 27 is one of the most important entries in the franchise's recent history, as MLB The Show 26 was the worst-reviewed game in franchise history, with community opinion reaching an all-time low.
With an outdated match engine, a Diamond Dynasty mode that becomes more microtransaction-based year after year, and lackluster gameplay physics, San Diego Studio has a big task at hand.
MLB The Show 27 Release Date
MLB The Show 27 is expected to release in March 2027, with a four-day early access for players who pre-order the game.
The game will likely sync its worldwide launch with the start of the Major League Baseball season.
However, an MLB lockout is almost certain to happen, as the current CBA agreement ends on December 1, and according to multiple reports, both parties are still far from reaching an agreement.
The implementation of a salary cap is the central question of the next CBA, and both sides couldn't have more divergent opinions about the topic.
So, it's likely the upcoming MLB season could be postponed, and there's also the possibility that the season could be canceled.
This would hurt MLB The Show 27, especially Diamond Dynasty mode, as its live content would suffer significantly from no Major League Baseball season.
We will update this article once more information regarding the MLB The Show 27 release date and early access is revealed.
