MLB The Show 22 Update 1.12 Patch Notes (July 14)
Sony San Diego continues to provide some minor adjustments to MLB The Show 22 well after launch, but the latest had a few surprising moves.
MLB The Show 22 Update 1.12, also known as Game Update 12, was announced by Sony San Diego late on July 13, 2022.
Once announced, Game Update 12 deployed in MLB The Show 22 on all platforms at approximately 4am PT on July 14, 2022.
Download size comes in at 1.92 GB on Xbox Series X|S, and we expect the download to be similarly sized on other platforms.
Without further ado, here are the full MLB The Show 22 Update 1.12 Patch Notes:
Co-op:
- Fixed a freeze that could occur when a user turns off their controller and closes the app.
- Fixed a rare freeze that could occur when selecting options in user profile menus.
Nintendo Switch:
- Fixed a crash that could occur in Home Run Derby when switching out of handheld mode.
Miscellaneous:
- Added two new songs to the Jukebox: “Dollar $tore”, performed by Young The Giant, and “Run Ft. Young Thug”, Performed by Killer Mike. These songs will cycle randomly in the JukeBox.
- Various player likeness updates to All-Star players: Jazz Chisholm, William Contreras, Adam Duvall, Santiago Espinal, Ty France, Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Spencer Strider, Dansby Swanson, Mike Trout, and Trea Turner.
The above likeness updates will hopefully have these players as accurate as possible as the new All-Stars program is set to arrive in just a few short days.
We've got more details here on the confirmed All-Star Game rosters, many of which are likely to receive new Diamond Dynasty cards in the upcoming program.
As for the new soundtrack additions, it's a relatively sudden move by Sony San Diego, but a welcome one for players who wanted a little more variety from the in-game soundtrack.
It's not currently clear if they plan to update the soundtrack often in the future, but these could be agreements aimed also at MLB The Show 23, whether with these specific artists or with their representatives.
