Miscellaneous:
- Introduction of the Nike City Connect San Diego Padres uniforms.
- Hitting and pitching difficulty will now be displayed in the Game Log.
- Fixed an issue that would cause the “Can’t Pitch” icon to remain in the pause menu.
- Various play-by-play commentary adjustments.
The primary focus of this update was likely to get the Nike City Connect San Diego Padres uniforms properly into the game ahead of their release.
We've seen uniforms added throughout the year, but they also have been paired with new Diamond Dynasty content.
One program earlier in the year combined several to kick things off, but the last few have gotten an entire program to themselves.
These tend to be fairly simple programs with a handful of Moments and PXP Missions as a challenge, and the program itself includes more than just the Nike City Connect San Diego Padres uniforms as rewards.
They usually choose a current or past player to receive one high tier Diamond card in the reward track, and based on the image they shared we believe this time it could be Bob Melvin.
While his playing career included several different teams, Bob Melvin is currently the manager of the San Diego Padres.
Melvin is a 3-time Manager of the Year from his time with the Arizona Diamondbacks and Oakland Athletics, but he's now got a new home in San Diego.
The program itself should be fully revealed as it goes live today in Diamond Dynasty at approximately Noon PT.
