Manchester United has decided to withdraw from talks with Amazon Prime over a record-breaking "All or Nothing" documentary, which would follow the Red Devils in the 2025-2026 season.

According to The Athletic, the doc series would earn Manchester United more than £10 million, the largest sum the streaming service has ever paid for a documentary of the type.

Despite all of that, the Red Devils decided to pull the plug, with manager Ruben Amorim being one of the main reasons why.

Ruben Amorim made it pretty clear that he didn't want the docuseries to happen, as it would be an extra distraction for the team, one that could potentially impact players and the club season negatively.

A docuseries about Manchester United, in what will be one of the most unique seasons in the club's recent history, would produce fantastic TV. However, in a season where United aim to bounce back, this could potentially harm the team more than it would benefit them.

Amorim wants players to be focused on the game, not on the cameras in the dressing room and the training facility. The goal is normally to shield players and alleviate pressure so they can perform better, and this docuseries would do exactly the opposite.

If Manchester United has a great season, fans will be sad they didn't have access to the behind-the-scenes. But if the reverse happens, which is more likely, then United fans will probably be happy with Amorim's decision.

The Portuguese coach wants to let his team's football do the talking, playing attractive football, winning games, and restoring Manchester United to its former glory.

While the deal with Amazon Prime was very lucrative, qualifying for Champions League football is even more lucrative, and I think that's where Amorim, the players, and the board heads are in.

With Manchester United out of the equation, it will be interesting to see who Amazon Prime targets for their 25-26 "All or Nothing" docuseries. Perhaps they turn their sights back to the Serie A, where A.C. Milan is also facing a difficult moment.
