Crawley Town have parted ways with manager Matthew Etherington ahead of Friday night's trip to League 2 promotion contenders Stevenage following a poor run of results.
The decision comes just 32 days after Etherington was appointed Crawley Town manager with the sacking leaving fans of the club and neutrals shocked.
Crawley Town will now go in search of their third permanent manager of the season after Kevin Betsy was dismissed following a dismal start to the 2022/23 League 2 campaign.

Etherington's Crawley Town departure: As it happened
Matthew Etherington's departure from Crawley Town was very much a shock to the system with the former West Ham midfielder losing his position on Thursday morning.
Crawley Town had previously suffered back-to-back League 2 defeats against Hartlepool and Sutton United, seeing the club slip to 20th in the table with just a six-point buffer over the relegation zone.
Speaking with the Crawley Town website, Director of Football Chris Galley stated that 'this partnership is not the right fit to carry the club forward and achieve our goals. As a result, we have mutually decided to move in a different direction. We wish Matty and Simon well in their future endeavours.'
