The countdown to God of War Ragnarök has begun and fans of what is the most anticipated PlayStation title of the PS5 era are hungry to get their hands on the latest chapter of Kratos' adventure through Norse mythology once it releases on Wednesday, 9th November 2022.
The first step of that process is getting the game and God of War Ragnarök has got fans covered with four different versions of the game available for purchase, including two very enticing special editions for the die-hard gamer.

Every God of War Edition Available for Pre-Order
Below you can find a breakdown of every version of God of War Ragnarök, all of which will be available for pre-order on Friday, 15th July 2022 at 10 am local time (10 am EST for the USA).
God of War Ragnarök Launch Edition
The first edition of God of War Ragnarök is the simplest and is just the base game with a pre-order bonus for players who bought the game before it launched. There are two bonuses for the launch edition, with Kratos getting a set of Risen Snow Armor and Atreus getting a Risen Snow Tunic that's cosmetic only.
God of War Ragnarök Digital Deluxe Edition
The second version is the God of War Ragnarök Digital Deluxe Edition which is only available as a digital pre-order of the game through the PS4 or PS5 PlayStation store. This edition features a set of Kratos Darkdale Armour and Atreus Darkdale Attire with a set of Darkdale Blades handles for the Blades of Chaos and Darkdale Axe Grip for the Leviathan Axe to match the outfit.
This version of the game will also include a God of War Ragnarök digital soundtrack, a digital artbook from Dark Horse, an Avatar Set and a PlayStation 4 Theme.
God of War Ragnarök Collector's Edition
Now we're entering the epic territory of God of War Ragnarök special editions, starting with the massive Collector's Edition which was unboxed by Santa Monica Studios in a reveal video for both it and the Jötnar Edition.
The collector's edition features the same things as the Digital Deluxe Edition but also provides physical collectables for fans. The main attraction of the collector's edition, of course, is the 16-inch replica of Thor's hammer Mjölnir for the worthy ones to display on their shelves. This edition also comes with a dwarven-themed polyhedral dice set and carvings of the Vanir Twins.
The weirdest feature of the collector's edition is the inclusion of a steelbook display case despite the collector's edition not having a physical copy of the game. This is a weird trend for major PlayStation titles as of late, with Horizon Forbidden West also deciding to include a steelbook without a disc.
God of War Ragnarök Jötnar Edition
Finally, we have the big one. The Jötnar Edition of God of War Ragnarök. This is for the most dedicated of God of War Fans, expanding upon the collector's edition to include even more items.
The Jötnar Edition features the benefits of the Digital Deluxe and Collector's Editions but also includes a different set of polyhedral dice, a cloth map of Yggdrasil, a Legendary Draupnir Ring, a pin set featuring a falcon, bear and wolf and a 7-inch vinyl record with music by Bear McCreary.
The ultimate collectable for God of War Ragnarök, fans around the world will be fighting to get their hands on the pre-order once it goes live.
