This means that we won't be seeing any news or trailers on PES 22 at E3.

No real reason has been revealed other than suggesting that the gaming company is working on 'other projects'.

With Konami's next football sim set to be released in around six months time, the withdrawal has not filled PES fans with much confidence.

The community on Reddit believe that perhaps we will see the first real PES 22 trailers at Gamescom.

PES 2022 Release Date

It's hard to predict when PES 2022 could arrive, with Konami jumping around Pro Evo's release date in recent years.

PES 2019 arrived as early as 28 August, but we think, as football returns to normality - PES 2022 is likely to arrive on Tuesday, 7 September.
