EURO 2020 is fast approaching, and PES 2021 is the only destination if you want to play a fully licensed version of the tournament.
We have already seen some of the tournament-themed content arrive in PES 2021 Season Update thanks to Data Pack 6.0.

There is more to come though, so make sure you know what to expect.
Get in the zone
Konami is already getting us excited for EURO 2020 by adding the tournament experience to the Matchday mode.
As the official videogame partner of the tournament, Konami has exclusivity when it comes to EURO 2020 so there is no competition from FIFA.
Not only can you now get the full matchday experience, but you can also add the Featured Players to your own squad too.
Release Date
We are yet to receive an official release date for Data Pack 7.0, but we do know it is due this month.
The knockout stages of the tournament get underway on Saturday, 26 June, so we could see the new content arrive in the week prior.
What to expect
Konami has already announced that Data Pack 7.0 will be released this month, coinciding with the tournament’s advance to the Knockout Stage towards the end of June.
Due to time constraints and the real-world submission of squads, this free update will add the following content:
- Updated national team squads, based on the final 26 chosen players for each team
- Increasing squad sizes from 23 players to 26
Most of the EURO 2020 content will already be available in the game, but if you are seeking the full experience then you have just a bit longer to wait for Data Pack 7.0.
Final update?
This could be the final Data Pack we see released before the arrival of PES 2022, so Konami is sure to have something a little extra up their sleeves.
We can't wait to see what PES 2022 will look like after Konami released a Season Update rather than a brand-new game this season.
PES 2022 will be optimised for next-gen consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, so at the very least it will look incredible thanks to the extraordinary graphic capabilities of both consoles.
The new(ish) consoles also have blazing fast loading times too, allowing you to just jump in and out of games at the drop of a hat.
