With a new season underway, eFootball is set to update from the 2022 version to a 2023 one, which will include additional domestic leagues, promotions/relegations and transfers.

Release Date REVEALED
The official eFootball Twitter account has revealed the releasedate for the 2023 update.
eFootball 2023 will be released on Thursday, 25 August.
As stated in the Tweet above, patch notes will also be made available on the day of the update.

As announced on the official eFootball Twitter page, a thread outlining the 2023 update and what fans can expect reads as follows:
In preparation for the new season, we will be updating eFootball™ 2022 to eFootball™ 2023 in late August.
More information will be available soon, so please stay tuned!
We will continue collecting as much feedback from our esteemed users as possible, and we will keep on improving and implementing new features to make the game even more enjoyable for even more football fans.
As a part of the update to eFootball™ 2023, your in-game assets and other data will be carried over.
Please kindly refer to the in-game announcement for information regarding the carryover process of in-game assets (eFootball™ Coins, GPs etc.) and other data.
