Players can enter the gates of hell early with the Diablo 4 beta.
Slated to release in the early Summer months, the next installation of the Diablo series, Diablo 4, is finally arriving. After more than ten years without any new form content—excluding the usual new Diablo 3 season—fans of the franchise have something to look forward to again.
Now, to kick it all off is the launch of the Diablo 4 beta. Here's when the Diablo 4 beta goes live.
When does the Diablo 4 Beta go live?
The Diablo 4 beta goes live two separate times.
First, all players who pre-ordered Diablo 4 will get early access to the beta on Friday, March 17, 2023, through Sunday, March 19, 2023. After that, the beta will be available to everyone on both PC and consoles the following weekend from Friday, March 24, 2023, through Monday, March 27, 2023.
Per the developers at Blizzard, the beta will begin at 12:00 p.m. EST and end at 2:00 p.m. EST on both of the March 19 and 27 end dates.
The Diablo 4 beta will be available on the Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 consoles, and on PC via the Battle.net app.
How to gain access to the Diablo 4 Beta
There are two ways to gain access to the Diablo 4 beta.
The first way to gain access to the beta is by pre-purchasing Diablo 4. Pre-purchasing Diablo 4 will give you an Early Access code which can be redeemed on the Diablo 4 beta side. With the provided code, players will be able to play the Diablo 4 beta early starting on Friday, March 17.
After that, on March 24, all players will have access to the Diablo 4 beta—including the players who got to play it early. Players who play the beta on this weekend will have a total of nearly four days to enjoy it.
So far, Blizzard hasn't released any details surrounding how to join the all-access Diablo 4 beta. Be sure to tune in for that in the future.
