Stephen Curry (OVR 95)

Team: Golden State Warriors

Height: 6’3”

Traits: All-Around Superstar

Best stats: Mid Range, 3 Pt, Stamina

Chef Curry is still the king of the point guard position in the eyes of 2K Sports. With limitless range and the ability to carve apart defenses, it's no wonder why teams are so afraid when the ball is in his hands. During an injury-shortened season, Curry still managed to put up averages of 26.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game. Feel free to continue terrorizing any 2K opponent you face by utilizing the unique skillset that Curry possesses.

Russell Westbrook (OVR 93)

Team: Oklahoma City Thunder

Height: 6’3”

Traits: All-Around Superstar

Best stats: Ball Handling, Speed, Acceleration

Westbrook was not happy with the way last season finished after a first round playoff loss to the Utah Jazz. Next season, his Thunder will look to improve on that finish after resigning Paul George in free agency. While the team did replace Carmelo Anthony with Westbook’s backup in Dennis Schroder, I would be very surprised to see Russ show any signs of slowing down. Expect the triple-double machine to follow up his averages of 25.4 points, 10.1 rebounds and 10.3 assists with another big season of production in NBA 2K19.

Kyrie Irving (OVR 93)

Team: Boston Celtics

Height: 6’3”

Traits: Offensive Superstar

Best stats: Mid Range, Ball Handling, Acceleration

Irving joined the Celtics via trade prior to last season in dramatic fashion. After plenty of media involvement, Irving came to Boston for a fresh start on a team that would be deemed "his" instead of playing in the shadow of LeBron James. For the most part, Irving's first year in Boston would be considered a success by most after posting averages of 24.4 points 3.8 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game. Regardless of numbers, the Celtics want playoff results and Irving's injury last season could not have come at a worse time. Look for him to come back in a big way this season.

Chris Paul (OVR 90)

Team: Houston Rockets

Height: 6’0”

Traits: All-Around Superstar

Best stats: Mid Range, Passing, Lateral Quickness

Chris Paul joining the Rockets was one of the biggest headlines of the 2017 free agency period. While he struggled with injuries that limited him to 58 games played, Paul showed his value with averages of 18.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 7.9 assists. While his assist numbers took a dip playing alongside James Harden, the one-two punch that this backcourt combo offers is quite potent. Even in the later years of his career, Paul is still a dominant force.

Damian Lillard (OVR 90)

Team: Portland Trail Blazers

Height: 6’3”

Traits: Offensive Superstar

Best stats: Layups, Ball Handling, Acceleration

Lillard is, without a doubt, my favorite active player in the league. A player that constantly plays with an edge and out to prove the doubters wrong, Dame knows how to take over games and carry his team when they need him most. Many compare him to Stephen Curry, and his averages of 26.9 points, 4.5 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game do appear somewhat similar. However, Lillard is a unique player with his ability to step his game up during crunch time – or “Lillard Time” as some might call it.

John Wall (OVR 89)

Team: Washington Wizards

Height: 6’4”

Traits: Two-Way Superstar

Best stats: Speed, Ball Handling, Passing

Last season was one that Wall may like to forget. After suffering a long-term injury and missing a crucial part of the season, Wall was put on blast by his teammates for allegedly not passing the ball enough. Regardless of injury and team drama, Wall still posted averages of 19.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and 9.6 assists per game. Look for Wall to hit the ground running this season to make up for lost time.

Kemba Walker (OVR 86)

Team: Charlotte Hornets

Height: 6’1”

Traits: Offensive Star

Best stats: Ball Handling, Stamina, Acceleration

Kemba Walker will enter the season the same way he exited last season – drowning in trade rumors and questions from the media. The rumor is that the Hornets are looking to rebuild and their most attractive player piece may very well be Walker. On a mostly depleted roster, Walker’s averages will be very much needed again this season. Coming off a season where he averaged 22.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and 5.6 assists, Walker will once again look to be a dominant force.

Jrue Holiday (OVR 85)

Team: New Orleans Pelicans

Height: 6’4”

Traits: All-Around Superstar

Best stats: Lateral Quickness, Mid-Range, Layups

Holiday comes in as a top rated point guard, but may be considered more of a shooting guard by many loyal NBA fans. To be fair, Holiday has jumped between the two positions as the team’s roster has demanded. This season, the Pelicans may need him to start at the shooting guard spot but don’t be fooled – Holiday will be running the offense often. With averages of 19 points, 4.5 rebounds and 6 assists per game, it's no wonder he is rated amongst the league’s top point guards.

Kyle Lowry (OVR 85)

Team: 6’0”

Height: Toronto Raptors

Traits: Two-Way Point

Best stats: Stamina, Ball Handling, Lateral Quickness

Kyle Lowry struggled to stay healthy last season and took more of a backseat role as DeMar DeRozan stepped up as the teams go-to player. Lowry still showed his value with averages of 16.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game.

This season will look a little different for Lowry as he adjusts to a new backcourt mate in Danny Green and a new star in Kawhi Leonard that will likely look to take over games with a look towards free agency next summer.

Goran Dragic (OVR 84)

Team: Miami Heat

Height: 6’3”

Traits: Offensive Superstar

Best stats: Layups, Ball Handling, Stamina

Dragic finds himself in an unusual situation as Miami is rumored to be looking hard at a rebuild. As one of the more veteran guys on the roster, this would lead many to believe that Goran might find himself on a different team by the All-Star break. For now, he will start the season with the Heat and continue to be a threat with averages of 17.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game.
