The Kings aren’t renowned for winning basketball games, but that could be about to change. With a number of talented young players leading them forward, there is finally light at the end of the tunnel. For once, they will be a fun team to play with on NBA Live – take a look at all their roster details below.
De’Aaron Fox, PG, 81
Best stats: 93 Speed, 88 Stamina, 87 Vertical
Fox was taken at pick 5 in the 2017 draft, and in his first season showed a few signs of why he was rated so highly. Though his output was nothing to write home about – he averaged 11.6 points and 4.4 assists in 27.8 minutes per night – his elite athletic abilities, most notably his speed, as well as his ability to run an offense and play manic defense at the other end were plain to see.
Buddy Hield, SG, 80
Playstyle: Wing Shooter
Best stats: 88 3-point Shot, 88 Free Throw, 87 Stamina
Hield showed some good signs in his first full season with the Kings. Having entered the league as the 6th pick from the 2016 draft and a renowned shooter, he knocked down a huge 43.1% of shots from beyond the arc in 2017/18 on the way to 13.5 points per game. His challenge in 2018/19 will be to add more strings to his offensive bow, using his elite shooting ability to draw defenders and open up opportunities for teammates, while also developing an ability to score in other ways.
Bogdan Bogdanovic, SF, 78
Playstyle: Wing Shooter
Best stats: 85 3-point Shot, 84 Free Throw, 83 Mid-Range Shot
Playing his first season in the league as a 25-year-old in 2017/18, Bogdanovic appears destined to be a great pick up for the Kings. At 6’6″ he is a multi-faceted offensive player – a great shooter but equally capable of setting up opportunities for teammates – while at the other end of the floor he is a solid defender.
Marvin Bagley III, PF, 82
Playstyle: Stretch Big
Best stats: 86 Strength, 86 Mid-Range Shot, 85 Inside Shot
Yet another high draft pick on this talented young team, Bagley III looks poised to make an immediate impact at the top level. An extremely talented post player with elite athletic qualities, he averaged 21.1 points and 11.1 rebounds at Duke last season. Though his output won’t be immediately to that level in the NBA, his skills appear readily transferrable to the NBA, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him end the season with the most impressive stats of all the 2018/19 rookies.
Willie Cauley-Stein, C, 80
Playstyle: Rim Protector
Best stats: 85 Post Moves, 85 Dunk, 84 Inside Shot
Cauley-Stein is the fourth top six draft pick in this starting lineup, having been taken at six in 2014. He has progressively improved each season in the league, and in 2017/18 averaged 15.4 points and 8.6 rebounds (both career-highs) as well as 2.3 assists and 1.1 steals.
