NBA 2K23 Update 1.007 Patch Notes bring more much-needed fixes (October 4)

The sudden arrival of NBA 2K23 Update 1.007 will hopefully bring relief for ongoing bugs still plaguing players since launch.

Here's everything we know so far about the NBA 2K23 Update 1.007 Patch Notes as the latest set of fixes arrives.

NBA 2K23 Update 1.007 Patch Notes for October 4

Since the launch of NBA 2K23, players have faced no shortage of bugs and glitches interfering with gameplay, especially in MyCAREER.

Fortunately, more help appears to be here as NBA 2K23 Update 1.007 has officially deployed on next gen platforms.

NBA 2K23 Update 1.007 clocks in just 377.4 MB on PS5, but download size is not yet known for the Xbox Series X|S update.

This appears to be a next gen only update, as the current gen version of NBA 2K23 on Xbox One and PS4 has not yet received an update today, though it could be set to deploy in the coming hours.

Unfortunately, 2K has also not released any official NBA 2K23 Update 1.007 Patch Notes detailing exactly what was addressed in this release.

Based on the fairly minimal size of the PS5 download, it's likely only a few minor issues were addressed along with standard stability improvements.

2K remains quiet about actual bug fixes

NBA 2K23 Update 1.006 was the last to arrive back on September 21, but 2K has made a habit this year of not actually releasing patch notes detailing what was fixed (and, by omission, what wasn't) in each update.

The most we've gotten has come from the NBA 2K account on Twitter, but as you can see their details were still pretty much non-existent.

Aside from vaguely referencing "stability issues," and some general gameplay mentions by Gameplay Director Mike Wang on his own account, 2K hasn't provided any real details this year.

MyCAREER and The City have likely had the bulk of issues so far this year, as we ran into a major Courting Calloway bug that may or may not have already been fixed.

Players have pointed out other issues like ones connected to Core Badges and a controller settings reset which they hope were addressed this time.

Unfortunately, the lack of transparency by 2K is only further frustrating players facing issues while playing NBA 2K23.
