NBA 2K22 Update 1.12 Patch Notes revealed prior to Season 7 launch

Although NBA 2K22 Update 1.12 arrived yesterday and now we have the patch notes which we'll reveal below.

Along with likeness updates, there have been some sizable gameplay updates. One of which surrounds the XP Coin inventory.

Here's what we know so far and when the NBA 2K22 Update 1.12 Patch Notes are expected to be revealed.

UPDATED - Patch Notes Revealed

A few key changes occurred during the NBA 2K22 Update 1.12. Revealed shortly before the launch of Season 7, we've got the changes below.

We also have the official start time for Season 7. You can expect the launch on Friday, May 20th, at 8AM PT/11AM ET/4PM BST.

NBA 2K22 Update 1.12 Patch Notes ahead of Season 7 (May 16)

It's become fairly common for 2K to drop a new patch for NBA 2K22 ahead of each season launch, as this allows them a few days to attempt to iron out any issues created by prepping that content.

With Season 7 expected to arrive on Friday, May 20, 2022, it's no surprise that NBA 2K22 Update 1.12 has landed just before.

NBA 2K22 Update 1.12 has reportedly deployed on current gen, with some users reporting a download size as high as 37.5 GB.

However, we've been able to confirm a download size of 26.167 GB on PS4, which included a lot of changes.

GAMEPLAY:

• Fixed a rare issue in which a made shot will not count after a defensive goaltending violation occurs.
• Fixed an improper animation transition that allowed players to unrealistically change momentum and direction when branching from a quick stop move to a hop step gather.
• Fixed an issue that caused zeroed out stats to display on the match up screen in the REC.

MyTEAM:

• Addressed an issue preventing the “Somewhere over the…” Trophy/Achievement from being unlocked on PS4 /XB1 when the Unicorn Ball is obtained on PS5/Xbox Series X|S.
• Fixed player reveal walkouts when ‘Flip All’ is used while highlighting a Dark Matter player card.

Playoff Moments Agenda revealed

To kick off NBA 2K22 Update 1.12, the Playoff Moments Agenda cards and tasks were revealed.

This will give players a chance to collect a pack that contains seven cards, each of which is a Galaxy Opal or higher. Three of them are Dark Matter cards.

• Adebayo REB
  • Get 12 rebounds with any Bam Adebayo over multiple games
    • Reward - Glass Cleaner Badge Pack
• Bridges PTS & STL
  • Score 13 points and get 1 steal with Playoff Rewards Mikal Bridges in a game.
    • Reward - 5 Tokens
• Brown 3's
  • Make 6 3-pointers with any Jaylen Brown in a game
    • Reward - Sharpshooter Badge Pack
