One of the better years for this franchise, the Boston Celtics were able to crush the competition, going 66-16 to clinch the first place in the Atlantic Division of the NBA. they then went on to play in some close sets in the playoffs, winning against the Atlanta hawks 4-3, the Cleveland Cavaliers 4-3, the Detroit Pistons 4-2, and the Los Angeles Lakers 4-2 in the finals.
