MLB The Show 21 is set to be the biggest title in the franchise's history for a number of reasons.
Not only is it the game arriving on Next Gen, but for the first time, The Show is open to Xbox players.

Yes, the rumours were true - for the first time ever, MLB The Show 21 will be on Xbox.
This applies to both Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
It remains to be seen if there are any features that the Xbox consoles will miss out on, with The Show developed by Sony-owned San Diego Studio.
What is exciting, is that due to the game's arrival on Xbox, MLB The Show 21 will be the first heavyweight sports title to support Crossplay.
Release Date
MLB The Show 21 arrives on Tuesday, 20 April - which is slightly later than normal (last year's game arrive on 17 March).
Early Access is also available for those who pre-order one of the more lucrative editions, with Early Access going live on Friday, 16 April.

Cover Athlete
MLB The Show 21's Cover Athlete is a very fitting choice for Next Gen gaming, Fernando Tatis Jr.
The San Diego Padres shortstop is just 22, making him the youngest cover star to date.
Tatis Jr. finished fourth in the MVP running in 2020 - so with the Cover Athlete berth behind him, can he go further in 2021?
Deluxe Edition Cover Athlete
The honour of the Deluxe Edition goes to the legendary Jackie Robinson.
The Brooklyn Dodger was the first African American to play in the MLB in the modern era, and was the first-ever Rookie of the Year.
Robinson would go on to become the first black player to be the National League's MVP, and was an All-Star for six straight seasons.
