MLB The Show 21 available on Xbox Game Pass from day one

MLB The Show 21 is only a few short weeks away from launch, but the title's Xbox debut just got an insane Xbox Game Pass upgrade.

While major sports titles heading to Xbox Game Pass is nothing new, it's huge that MLB The Show 21 will be hitting the service on day one, and not months after the title is released.

MLB The Show 21 hits Xbox Game Pass on day one

For years, MLB The Show has been a PlayStation exclusive title, but that's all changing this year as MLB The Show 21 is set to be released on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

That push for a powerful Xbox debut just got an absurd upgrade, as Xbox has announced the title will be available at no additional cost to Xbox Game Pass subscribers on launch day.

That means anyone with Xbox Game Pass will be able to play MLB The Show 21 Standard Edition on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S on April 20, 2021.

PlayStation and Pre Orders lose out here

As exciting as the move is for Xbox users, there are a few clear groups that may be frustrated by this decision.

XBOX WINS: Unfortunately not everyone gets the same bonus

PlayStation users will not currently have the option to access the title through a similar service on PS4 or PS5, leaving them stuck paying full price when Xbox players can just subscribe to Xbox Game Pass.

On top of that, any Xbox users who have already pre ordered the MLB The Show 21 Standard Edition might want to look at ways to cancel that pre order, as this news means they overpaid.
