Sonic Origins Release Date ANNOUNCED

With two incredibly successful films behind it, Sonic seems to be filled with plenty of upwards momentum. We can only hope the next big game can live up to this. Until then, maybe Sonic Origins can keep you entertained for a while. Luckily, we now know the Sonic Origins Release date. Here's what we know so far.

Sonic Origins Release Date

Sonic Origins will finally arrive on June 23rd. Given how late in the year it already is, it seems likely this was originally planned to get some coverage around E3 but that has since been cancelled.

With revamped pixel graphics and tonnes of content, this is a release worth paying attention. As it's not out for a few months, it seems likely we will see much more on it over the next few weeks.

The Sonic Twitter account is well known for being pretty funny and consistent so it seems only a matter of time until we see more about Sonic Origins. If anything comes out or any big changes are made, we will update you right here.

What is Sonic Origins?

Sonic Origins is a remake of the original Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic CD. As you can see from the trailer above, they have remade classic Sonic animations in a much clearer and smoother style.

If you want a sonic game that feels familiar but come with textures and definition of a modern game, this is the perfect package for you.

As of right now, it has a pretty confusing preorder system. By purchasing the deluxe edition, you get access to some extra hard levels and animations but you don't get everything.

You have to buy the deluxe edition and the Start Dash Pack to get everything you possibly can for the game. Hopefully, by release, we will see a slightly more transparent preorder system.
