After a gruesome reveal at Summer Games Fest, The Callisto Protocol has become one of the most hotly anticipated releases of 2022!
Luckily for fans of the survival horror genre, there isn't much longer to wait for the title to drop.

Is The Callisto Protocol on PlayStation Plus?
Although nothing has been officially confirmed, it looks like The Callisto Protocol will not be released on PlayStation Plus - at least, not from day one.
The subscription service now has the Extra and Premium tiers, which does leave the door open for top games to come to the catalogue on day one - as happened with another big title, Stray.
Yet, in an interview with TrueAchievements, Striking Distance Studio's Chief Technology Officer Mark James seemed to confirm the game wouldn't be joining the service anytime soon.
He said that "as a financial model, it's a difficult one to make work as an independent studio" with single-player titles.
The game is one you will likely only play through once, which James doesn't think suits the subscription service model.
"I think those services are built towards some of the open-world style and repetitive multiplayer games", he clarified.

The Callisto Protocol Release Date
The Callisto Protocol is one of the last major releases for the year, with a release date scheduled for Friday, 2 December 2022. It will also be a cross-gen title, releasing on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
There are currently no confirmed plans for a release on the Nintendo Switch.
