You're in luck! It has already been confirmed that an announcement regarding Final Fantasy 7 Remake is coming before the Orchestra's final performance in Tokyo and everyone is talking about what it could mean.

Start Time

The Final Fantasy 7 Remake Orchestra World Tour Tokyo show is due to start at 5 pm JST on February 13th.

This means that it will begin at 3 am EST on February 13th and 8 am GMT on February 13th.

" Experience all-new symphonic arrangements, including the Final Fantasy VII Remake theme song "Hollow", the latest original composition from Nobuo Uematsu, performed by an orchestra and chorus of over 100 musicians, led by Grammy Award-winning conductor Arnie Roth."

For any fan of Final Fantasy and the FF7 Remake, it promises to be a memorable event.

However, with possible news of additional content... It's one you're going to want to be watching.

Rumours

Even before the official announcement that we were getting new Final Fantasy 7 Remake information alongside the Orchestra World Tour's Tokyo performance, rumours have been rife among the community.

The game is currently only available on PlayStation 4, but with next-gen consoles out, could we see it be released on the newer platforms?

One of the biggest rumours out there, that would prove to be a little underwhelming, is that the current release of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake is coming to PS5 consoles soon.

We know that Part 2 is in the works, but would Square Enix make such a "big deal" about a next-gen port of an existing game that already looks so good?

Xbox & PC Release?

Alongside the rumours that the Final Fantasy 7 Remake is coming to PS5 consoles, fans have been speculating what this means for other platforms.

Although the Nintendo Switch seems to be out of the discussions, questions as to whether the game is coming to Xbox consoles and PC are rife.

Recently, on a ResetERA Forum, a prominent leaker has suggested that the aforementioned PS5 version of the title will also come to PC.

Along with this tidbit of information, they also stated that the upgraded version would be "more than a resolution increase", featuring new story content.

Could this be... Surely not. Part 2 is ages away... Right?

Part 2 Announcement?

With all that being said, could we be looking at a Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 announcement? It isn't outside of the realms of possibility as we know that the game is in development as we speak.

Director Tetsuya Nomura confirmed that development was in full swing by November 2019, and Square Enix President Yosuke Matsuda confirmed that any slight delays in the production of Part 1 would not impact the timeline they had in mind during a Q&A.

That being said, we haven't heard a whole lot more information regarding Part 2.

In December 2020, Square Enix's Yoshinori Kitase mentioned that development was going well, but that's about it.
