WATCH NOW: AEW Fight Forever gameplay footage REVEALED

The AEW Fight Forever roster got some new confirmations, but even more exciting is that we've got new gameplay footage for the first time in months.

We've got both of the new clips here so you can watch the new AEW Fight Forever footage for yourself and see what this upcoming release might look like.

AEW Fight Forever gameplay footage with Kris Statlander reveal

After announcing the impending reveal a few days ago, the latest episode of All Elite Arcade via Twitch on the AEW Games channel has shed new light on AEW Fight Forever.

As was expected, we got new gameplay footage featuring two previously unconfirmed and unseen wrestlers.

First up was "The Galaxy's Greatest Alien" Kris Statlander, and we got to see her in action against Nyla Rose who was up for the next reveal.

In addition to showing the new wrestlers in action, each reveal started off with a preview of the character models that had been crafted.

GALAXY'S GREATEST: Statlander's detailed galactic tattoo sleeve was recreated for her character model

This was a great opportunity to showcased the level of detail being reached in some of these, including the tattoos from Kris Statlander's arm which can be seen above.

AEW Fight Forever gameplay footage with Nyla Rose reveal

The reveal continued with the next showcase going to "The Native Beast" Nyla Rose, and it also began with an analysis of her character model.

We also get a secondary reveal in the footage from both clips, as Aubrey Edwards is now in AEW Fight Forever as a referee, marking the first time we've seen a referee in footage like this.

While the details are solid, the overall look may be a bit jarring for fans used to the hyper-realism attained in WWE 2K22.

It had been confirmed early in development that AEW had no plans of reaching that same level of visual quality, as doing so without the resources and tech of 2K Games isn't exactly an easy task.

However, despite the differences compared to WWE 2K22, the gameplay itself looks solid and many fans have expressed excitement about the ways the characters interact.

It's also key to note that this gameplay footage is not final, and they could further clean things up between now and when AEW Fight Forever is eventually released.

AEW Fight Forever is currently scheduled for a release date in September 2022, but any developmental hiccups could easily push that back as they'll likely want to avoid anything resembling the WWE 2K20 launch debacle from a few years ago.
