When Does Madden 25 Come Out?

The NFL draft is drawing nearer, but when will Madden 25 come out? The next NFL game is set to be a crucial one for EA as talk of emerging rivals and fan discontent grows. But it's exclusive NFL title is still one of the most profitable games every year.

We got a Madden 25 back in 2013, to celebrate the anniversary of the franchise. So this year's game may be called something different, but when will the new game land?

Madden 25 release date

The Madden release date has followed a pretty straightforward pattern in the last few years of releasing on the third Friday of August, and there is no reason to see EA deviating from this in 2024.

That means that Madden 25 is likely to release on Friday 16 August.

While unconfirmed for now, this is the likeliest date for Madden 25. Of course, there is also likely to be some early access with Deluxe or higher editions of the game.

EA usually provides three days of early access for those willing to pay more money. This means you could be playing from Tuesday 13 August.

What will Madden 25 be called?

It was an odd decision at the time, and even worse now that we have reached this moment, but EA actually released Madden 25 in August 2013 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the franchise.

So what will they do this year? Well, EA could just ignore the game that should have been Madden 14 and go ahead with calling this year's title Madden 25 anyway. Or they could adjust the name a little and run with Madden 2025.

Maybe they will go away from the name altogether and just call it something like EA NFL 25, as we have seen them do with the FIFA games.

We would love to see this year's game called something like "Madden Legacy" and have it include some of the features of previous games updated for today such as create-a-play, custom fans, and new features like proper contract structures and revised Ultimate Team formats.
