Liverpool are one of four teams that will play twice in Gameweek 25 in Fantasy Premier League (FPL).
The Reds' Double Gameweek and subsequent favourable fixtures make a Liverpool attacker a must-have in Fantasy.
However, there are a few options when it comes to Liverpool attackers.
Mohamed Salah (£12.6m), Darwin Nunez (£8.7m) and Cody Gakpo (£7.8m) are the three most nailed-on forwards for Jurgen Klopp's side, but who should you buy ahead of DGW25?
We're taking a detailed look at the best Liverpool attacker for DGW25.
Liverpool upcoming fixtures
First of all, let's run through Liverpool's upcoming fixtures.
The Reds, who currently sit in eighth position in the Premier League table, will travel to London to face Crystal Palace before hosting Wolves in DGW25.
- GW25 - Crystal Palace (A)
- GW25 - Wolves (H)
- GW26 - Manchester United (H)
- GW27 - Bournemouth (A)
- GW28 - Fulham (H)
Liverpool then face an in-form Manchester United at Anfield before consecutive games against newly promoted sides in Bournemouth and Fulham.
Mohamed Salah (£12.6m) has accumulated 17 points in the last two gameweeks, with one goal, one assist and three bonus points in that time.
Darwin Nunez (£8.7m) has one goal and one assist to his name in his last two outings. The Uruguayan striker is also nailed on to start for the Reds.
New signing Cody Gakpo (£7.8m) has produced attacking returns in his last two games, with two goals and 14 points to his name.
Now, it's time to get into the nitty-gritty of Salah, Nunez and Gakpo as players, based on their form.
Here's how their underlying stats compare from the last five PL matches:
- Minutes - Salah: 450, Nunez: 244, Gakpo: 384
- Goals - Salah: 1, Nunez: 1, Gakpo: 2
- Assists - Salah: 1, Nunez: 1, Gakpo: 0
- Shots - Salah: 12, Nunez: 13, Gakpo: 13
- Shots in the box - Salah: 9, Nunez: 11, Gakpo: 11
- Shots on target - Salah: 4, Nunez: 6, Gakpo: 4
- Big chances - Salah: 1, Nunez: 2, Gakpo: 4
- Expected goals - Salah: 2.1, Nunez: 1.95, Gakpo: 2.38
Who to buy
With very similar goals, assists and shooting statistics, it would seem it makes more sense to opt for one of the cheaper Liverpool assets in Darwin Nunez or Cody Gakpo.
However, it is important to remember that Mohamed Salah is on penalty duty.
We think this fact tips the scales and if you can afford to buy the Egyptian winger, you should.
If you are deciding between Gakpo and Nunez, it is almost a flip of the coin.
The Dutch forward has a higher expected goals in recent weeks but has produced no assists, whereas Nunez has one to his name.
Cody Gakpo's four big chances are double any of the other Liverpool attackers, though, which could edge it in his favour.
