Football Manager 2022's brand new winter update is on the horizon, which means it won't be long before all of the best January signings are brought to your fingertips.

With many teams making BIG moves already this winter, we predict that one team, in particular, could become everyone's favourite when the new update arrives.

Whilst we have no confirmed date for the arrival of FM22's winter update, we are anticipating it to drop near the end of February.

The FM22 winter update will bring a host of bug fixes to the game, as well as amending all of the squads according to the changes made in the January transfer window.

New Favourite

The January transfer has already seen a number of players jump ship and start fresh at new clubs, but one team, in particular, could be about to light up Football Manager 2022 following the winter update.

Newcastle certainly stakes a claim, with Chris Wood and Kieran Trippier signed (so far) for the Magpies.

However, the arrival of Phillipe Coutinho and Lucas Digne will certainly see Aston Villa become everyone's new favourite team following the arrival of FM22's winter update.

With Coutinho arriving from Barcelona and Lucas Digne swapping Goodison for Villa Park, surely Aston Villa is the best team to use following the arrival of the winter update?

Already boasting a strong squad at the start of Football Manager 2022, Aston Villa's January purchases may just elevate them to the next level.

With incredible attacking options that include Ollie Watkins, Danny Ings, Leon Bailey, Emi Buendia and now former Liverpool star Coutinho, you're certain to become an outside contender for the European places.

Lucas Digne will add experience and class alongside defensive dominators like Tyrone Mings, Ezri Konsa and Matty Cash.

Whilst there are still a few weeks left of this transfer window, we think many teams will struggle to impress in the same way that Aston Villa has.
