All these players are great options to lead your line, but they vary in styles. Some are fast and creative types that can play on the wing too, others are classic target men that can hold the ball up and give you a chance when playing a superior side. It is important to sign the kind of striker that compliments your style of play and the other pieces around you. So, who are the best young strikers in Football Manager 2019?
Kylian Mbappe (CA 173 – PA 196)
Position: AM (R), ST
Club: Paris Saint-Germain
Best Attributes: Pace (20), Acceleration (19), Technique (18)
Value: £71 million
Wage: £325,000 a week
To no one’s surprise the best young striker around is Kylian Mbappe. The French star announced himself to the football world in 2016 when he helped Monaco clinch the Ligue 1 title. Not long after that he made a massive £162 million move to Paris Saint-Germain. At the 2018 World Cup Mbappe was excellent and helped France win their second World Cup.
In FM 19 Mbappe is incredible. He has sensational speed (20 pace, 19 acceleration) and it underpins everything he does. He is excellent on the ball (18 technique, 17 dribbling, 16 first touch) and in front of goal (16 finishing, 15 penalty taking). He also has terrific mental attributes for a teenager (18 flair, 17 composure, 17 off the ball). Mbappe is already a terrific player and has the potential to be the very best.
Gabriel Jesus (CA 160 – PA 175)

Club: Manchester City
Best Attributes: Agility (17), Off The Ball (17), Finishing (16)
Value: £46.5 million

Gabriel Jesus first came to prominence at Brazilian side Palmeiras. He made his senior debut for them in March 2015 and soon became a regular in the first team. It wasn’t long before Man City came calling and they ended up spending £28 million to sign him in January 2017. In his time in England, Jesus has developed well and turned into a well-rounded player.
In FM 19 Jesus is a terrific young striker. He has good athleticism (17 agility, 16 acceleration, 15 pace) which allows him to harass defenders all game. He has good mental attributes (17 off the ball, 16 work rate) to find an opening, and is deadly in front of goal (16 finishing, 15 first touch).
Timo Werner (CA 151 – PA 165)
Club: RB Leipzig

Timo Werner came up through the Stuttgart youth system, making his debut with them in 2013 at 17, becoming the youngest first-team player in club history. He played 95 games for Stuttgart before making a €10 million move to RB Leipzig in June 2016. Werner has since becoming a leading striker in Germany and leads the line for his country too.
In FM 19 Werner has amazing speed (18 pace, 18 acceleration, 17 balance) to create space against defenders. He combines that with a strong work ethic on the field (16 work rate, 16 off the ball) to make a big impact for club and country. He is solid in build up play (13 dribbling, 11 passing) and in front of goal too (14 finishing, 13 heading).
Marcus Rashford (CA 148 – PA Range 150-180)

Marcus Rashford joined Manchester United in 2005 at the age of seven and hasn’t looked back. He made his first-team debut in 2016 under Louis van Gaal and immediately found the scoresheet. Since then he has racked up the appearances and is nearing on 100. He’s also found his way into the England first team, winning nearly 30 caps and scoring six goals so far.
In FM 19 Rashford is another extremely quick striker (18 acceleration, 17 pace). He combines that with quality on the ball (16 dribbling, 13 first touch) and has solid mental attributes (17 flair, 16 determination, 15 work rate). Rashford is good in front of goal (14 finishing) and can contribute playing off a main striker too.
Moussa Dembele (CA 145 – PA 164)

Moussa Dembele came up through the Paris Saint-Germain youth system but made his senior debut for Fulham after he signed with them at the age of 16. He made 55 appearances for them before moving to Celtic for just £500k. He played two years in Scotland before Olympique Lyonnais came calling with a £19.75 million offer this summer.
Dembele is another pacy young striker (16 acceleration, 15 pace) but he also has good strength (15) to allow him to hold up the ball and play with his back to goal. Dembele is a clinical striker (17 finishing, 15 penalty taking) who can beat a defender (15 dribbling).
Giovanni Simeone (CA 145 – PA 158)

Giovanni Simeone, son of Argentine legend Diego Simeone, arrived in Europe to play for Genoa from River Plate after a €3 million deal in 2016. He impressed so much in his first season that Fiorentina swooped in with a £13.25 million offer for him in 2017. Despite Argentina having a lot of very good options at striker, he has already won four caps for his country and scored once.
Despite his relatively short stature at 5’11”, Giovanni Simeone’s greatest asset is his prowess in the air (18 heading, 13 jumping) which adds an extra dimension to his threat in front of goal (16 finishing). He is hard working (15 work rate, 15 off the ball), and can keep the ball moving in possession (12 passing, 12 technique).
Divock Origi (CA 145 – PA 158)

Divock Origi came through the Genk academy before moving to Lille at age 15. He made his senior debut for them before moving to Liverpool for £10 million. He was loaned back to Lille, and most recently spent a loan spell at Wolfsburg, but has also made over 50 appearances for Liverpool’s first team and won 25 caps for Belgium.
Origi possesses terrific speed (18 pace, 15 acceleration) and has a good work rate (15) to get into dangerous positions. He is ok in front of goal (12 finishing) and can keep possession flowing around the field (16 first touch, 15 technique, 12 passing).
Lautaro Martinez (CA 145 – PA Range 150-180)

Lautaro Martinez made his senior debut with Racing Club in Argentina. He made just 48 appearances for them, netting 22 goals, before Inter Milan came calling and signed him for a reported €22.7 million this summer. Martinez has also made two appearances for Argentina, scoring once.
In FM 19 Martinez is a well-rounded player. He has some excellent mental attributes (20 determination, 17 flair, 15 off the ball, 14 work rate) to go along with strong goal-scoring stats (16 finishing, 16 first touch). He also has the ability to create for himself (14 dribbling) and take part in build up play too (14 passing).
Patrik Schick (CA 143 – PA 168)

Patrik Schick came up through the Sparta Prague youth system, making his senior debut with them in May 2014. He then made a move to Sampdoria in 2016 before moving to Roma the next year. Schick has scored double-digit goals in just one season, but he’s also made 12 appearances for the Czech Republic so far.
In Football Manager 2019 Schick is a well-rounded striker that can take part in build up play (17 technique, 14 passing) and score goals (14 finishing, 14 heading). Maximiliano Gomez (CA 142 – PA 157)

Maxi Gomez made his senior debut with Defensor Sporting in Uruguay, scoring 28 goals in 47 appearances before making a £3.8 million move to Celta Vigo in 2017. In his first season with them he scored 19 times in La Liga. He has made 9 appearances for Uruguay, but is yet to score for his country.
In FM 19 Maxi Gomez is a powerful striker. He has good physical traits (16 jumping, 15 strength) and some solid mental attributes already (14 concentration, 14 off the ball, 14 vision). He is good in front of goal (15 finishing, 14 penalty taking, 13 heading) and can keep the ball moving too (14 technique, 14 passing, 13 crossing). He also has good defensive stats in order to help with a high press or defending set pieces (12 tackling, 12 marking).
